The festival attracts 150,000 people .It is Londons largest free admission folk music and arts festival.
There are 6 music stages with performances all day. Every thing from bluegrass,to childrens music.
There are craft demonstrations, food vendors and my favourite are the craft vendors. Fine art, pottery, jewellery, clothing, metal sculpture, soap, candles, you name it. Hundreds of vendors to see.
I tried different things today such as dragons blood body butter from Skinlicious . I lavished a bar of midnight rose soap from Smell The Soap. Then I visited Krazy Kitty which has the best catnip for your spoiled cat.
It is always such a delight to go and watch Dan Pollak (Dan Pollak Accessories)sell his jewellery and accessories, he has wonderful selling skills. This guy could sell water to a fish. He has interesting beaded brooches and jewelry. Like Red rhinestone studded Ghecko brooches.I should have taken a picture.
There are many pottery artisans there as well. My favourite colour combo is blue and green so I had to take a picture of these plates
Canadian, eh? To remember our Canadian Heritage I went to watch a Pow-Wow.
Remember they were here first.
They were dressed in very bright feathered costumes like this one in red and yellow. The Natives performed a traditional smoke dance, a butterfly dance, and one dance the woman had a skirt covered with metal things one for each day. It jingled like a million bells. Most people are attracted to the beating of the drums. The small children dance about in the crowds to it.
Can't wait to go again next year.
